Numbers in Dupi are expressed through domains that double as pronouns and structural words.

• 0: o — zero (modifier)
• 1: ma — I / me
• 2: sa — you
• 3: ta — he / she / they / it
• 4: me — because / causality
• 5: te — middle / centered
• 6: na — place / where
• 7: le — group / sharing / gathering
• 8: wu — —
• 9: a — maximum (modifier)

Numeric use

To use a domain as a number, combine it with nu (quantity / number):

• manu — 1
• sanu — 2
• tanu — 3
• menu — 4
• tenu — 5
• nanu — 6
• lenu — 7
• wunu — 8
• anu — 9
• onu — 0

Bigger numbers

Bigger numbers are formed as a sequence of digits, separated by hyphens:

• ma-onu = 10 (1-0)
• sa-tanu = 23 (2-3)
• ta-o-onu = 300 (3-0-0)
• ma-o-sa-menu = 1024 (1-0-2-4)

Pronunciation

When a (9) or o (0) appear inside a number sequence, an optional h can be added at the start to make pronunciation clearer: ta-ho-honu instead of ta-o-onu for 300. Both forms are correct.
